•All our Giclée Limited Edition Reproductions and exhibition quality canvasses are covered by a Lifetime Warranty.

•If ANYTHING should happen to your Giclee your work will be replaced for half its current price provided the Giclee print is returned to us and while we have the original digital file in our possession.

•This warranty applies to any Limited Edition reproduction done by the Art House and applies regardless of the owner of the Giclee. The print must be returned with the Certificate of Authenticity. Due to copyright laws I will require to approve the replacement and will have to resign the new print.

Damage – what does that mean? Literally anything from fading to flame damage! If it is damaged by removalists, rained on, stood on or slashed it is covered!

From time to time, a small run of limited edition prints, limited to 200 per run, printed by the artist, on fine art, cotton rag paper, and printed with archival pigment, will be made available. ORIGINAL DIGITAL

Original Digital- how can we keep a digital reproduction original?

SATART uses the earth as its pallette. It is therefore original, as the pallette used has been created by, well, the greatest artist in our universe.

My digital images are offered as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc, edition runs. Although you may see the images on many sites for marketing purposes, the official edition runs, signed by van sprang , will only be available though this site. Each subsequent edition will have a variation to the first offical edition, to make it unique to that specific edition. Digital multi media is the art of the 21st century!

In the event that an image is applied to a product, and therefore has a limited life, the image is not considered to be part of the official edition.

The official edition runs will be on high quality, archival canvas or paper, and will come with a certificate of authenticity.

The rights to first run editions may be purchased by a time limited licence, only if no purchases of the image has been made previously, in any form. The artists retains the right to hold 1 copy of the works in her collection.

ABOUT ME

I have been involved in the digital art verses fine art debate for many years, and the argument still continues. In my opinion, there should be a definite distinction between digital art and graphic art. Art derived solely from the computer can be cold and flat, usually because the artists cannot give the works the soul a piece requires to connect. Beautiful, jaw dropping manipulations are made, but ultimately you are rehashing something that someone else has previously created. Commercially they often do very well, because people today are very "image" focussed". But is it art? I still don't know. Hopefully artisans and galleries now understand that this is not necessarily the process every digital artist follows.

For instance, the majority of my works are fully self created- with the help of the Sat Art palette,which was created by the greatest artist ever known:) I usually paint my backgrounds, photograph them with my Canon EOS D mark2, manipulate and play for hours , days and weeks on one of the computer which isnt hooked up to NASA,print my prints on my epson 4880 printer, hand colour with pigment, rephotograph, use programs to alter the sizing, and then finally get my stuff professionally printed. Therefore I am a painter, a photographer, a printmaker, and a digital artist all rolled into one. I have owned photoshop for ever and a day, but still only use the very basic tools. No textures, no plethora of brushes,no plug ins other then a resizing tool, no drawing tablet. Why? Because that way it still requires a hell of a lot of your own input. That is why I often say that a true digital artist sometimes has more knowledge then a painter.I could never paint the way some of the artists paint, and their techniques are astounding. However, I am sure the majority of painters couldn't produce a true digital multimedia piece of art either.Digital multimedia, for me,is the art of the 21st century. With that in mind, we all stand on even ground as artists.If we can touch someone with our work, we are happy.
Sat art, aerial inspired art using Google Earth, satellite imaging to create beautiful artworks, was originally conceived in 2008,by myself and some fellow artisans in Europe.The majority of satellite imaging, for sale, were straight out prints of the wonderful natural world. We decided to apply our own artistic touches to the images, in many different ways, using the images as under paintings for our canvasses. In early 2009, I registered the name SATART in the urban dictionary, as a new name for a new art movement. My art was found on some inspiring websites dealing with 21st Century art inspirations, was used by the Emily Carr University of Art in Canada, as examples of blending technology and art, and received many accolades in online art submissions.

Technology has come a long way 2008.

With the current interest in Megan Weston and her art, I felt it was time to get back into the realm, after many years in hiatus.
